A Time for Everything

1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance...

We find ourselves living in mixed-up times.

We found out the baby was healthy, had a lovely Christmas with family, and a peaceful first month of the year.

Dance.

Nic's diagnoses of SS sickle cell disease was confirmed.

Mourn.

Both mine and the baby's health were declared excellent, and we were downgraded from "high-risk" to "normal."

Dance.

My mom has been diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer.

Mourn.

Please, if you have ever prayed for us before, pray for us now. We need it so badly.

Heavenly Father, wrap your arms of comfort around this sweet, dear family. I do not understand so much suffering.

He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

Praying continually.

Oh, what a shock! I will pray that God her Warrior will fight this cancer on her behalf.
We were really looking forward to spending a week at Yosemite with them!
I pray that we still can.

It was a blessing to see Tom and Mary today. The wave of weeping has come upon Robin and I and our prayers are now on a deeper more precious level. The Father is close, Jesus Himself is interceding. The Holy Spirit is drawing us to love one another more deeply. His love! Love is what remains. God's love for us and our love for Mary, Tom and you and your siblings and spouse. Your family will be a precious source of support to each other. Love, David and Robin.

I'm in tears, Amy! Can I just admit that I feel like whacking something with a baseball bat on behalf of your family . . .

And at the same time, I am so very convicted and encouraged by the faith you have led over the years.

I wish I was with you right now.
